…A Family that happens to be “Military”

Welcome to my blog. This blog is full of military life, military spouse life, and last but not least mommy life. The constant moving and having to make a home at every new location is an adventure in itself.

A little about me…

My name is Tanecia. I am a military spouse (specifically U.S. Navy). My husband and I have 3 amazing children. Two boys and a lovely baby girl. After a 2 year unaccompanied stent overseas we lived in Virginia for 3 years and now find ourselves in California. CA is our relatively new home and the first time we have lived together as a family of 5. I was fortunate enough to stay home with my new little one for the first few months as we adjusted to our new home and learned to navigate this new place.

I started this blog to chronicle our journey as a military family. And honestly to give me an outlet to express myself as I learn to navigate all the changes that come with having a family and adjusting to living in a new city, in a new state, that may not be near any friends or family.

The military has a saying “HOME IS WHEREVER WE SEND YOU”. Similar to “HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS”. As a military spouse we have more days away from our loved one than we like. But we merge the two sayings and as long as our military member comes home to us, regardless of where that is, that is our home. Home is wherever we are together.
